Gate 25, the Gate of the Spirit of the Self, sits in the G center, the center of identity, love and direction. It carries an innocent, universal love, a love for life itself rather than for one person. Gate 51, the Gate of Shock, sits in the Heart, also called the Ego center, the center of willpower. It wants to be first, to compete, and to wake people up with a jolt.
Joined, they make a channel of initiation: going through a shock or a leap and coming out changed. It is part of the Centering circuit, an individual circuit about finding your own center and helping others find theirs. The link between the G center and the Heart means that who you are and your will to act are tied tightly. You may feel called to go first so others can follow.
